Statement of Faith

At Combie Bible Church, we believe:
 

In essential beliefs - we have unity.

There is one body and one Spirit ... one Lord, and one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Ephesians 4:4-6

In non-essential beliefs - we have liberty.

Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters.  Who are you to judge someone else's servant?  To his own master he stands or falls.  And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.  So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.  So whatever you believe about these things (disputable matters) keep between yourself and God.

In all beliefs - we show charity (love).

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

In Essentials, We Believe:

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.  It reveals God Himself, and His will for man.

Psalm 19:7-11; Isaiah 40:8; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21

In one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Genesis 1:26; Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 28:19-20

The Lord Jesus Christ is true God and true man.  He was born of a virgin, died on a cross for the sins of man, rose bodily from death and ascended into heaven.

The Holy Spirit convicts the world and indwells and empowers the believers in Christ.

All of mankind have sinned and those who trust Jesus Christ as Savior are now saved by God's grace.

Baptism of believers and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church.

The imminent, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth.
